1 BREEDING PAIR Mikrogeophagus ramirezi Long Fin German Blue Rams The image above is a Live web cam of the actual fish up for auction. The German Blue ram is indeed one of the most peaceful and beautiful cichlids of all. They are dwarf cichlids as they only grow to about 5cm. They are comprised of many enchanting colours . Even a gold and blue strain of the ram has been developed. The most striking feature of the blue ram are its blue iridescent flecks and the black spot and vertical band . The males are more colourful than the females. Females are rounder with a pinkish abdominal area.   As far as water is concerned - these guys are quite tolerant . PH of 7-8 ok . And temps of 78-88 . But the upper range of 85-87 makes them happiest . They must have clean and crystal clear water . They do not do well with Nitrates , Ammonia or Nitrites . Rams are  delicate and don't like change so only a stable tank should be used .   Note that rams don't take to medications well and prefer to be in a species tank with driftwood and lots of  plants. However , they will get along quite well with others so long as there tank mates are NOT aggressive. Rams do fight but only amongst  there own . They will occupy all layers of the tank , Top , Mid, and bottom . All rams are bred by me on site. These Long fin Blue Rams are imperfect , they each have one SHORT pectoral fin. Otherwise they are in PERFECT health . I rate them as B+ stock . Very nice finage but with imperfections . These guys are 5-6 months old and laying constantly . I have had customers report back that there rams have laid with in 24 hours of receiving them . As with most fish , with shipping comes stress . Once your rams have settled in 3-5 days they should start to show there true colors. Stocking should be 10 gallons per pair MAX. .Any higher density then that and you may get one fish/pair that gets bullied to much . Again stress is a killer for rams .   Above you should see a LIVE web cam of the actual fish you are bidding on. If it is after 8pm CDT there will be no image. Otherwise I will attempt to keep the Live web cam up for the duration of this auction. Again these are the actual fish you will receive. They may look stressed as they have just been removed from the larger tank containing about 12 breeding pair and segregated for this sale. $11.00  USPS PRIORITY FLAT RATE SHIPPING. DOA is guaranteed on Express shipping only (shipping charges are never refunded), a clear picture of the DOA fish in the unopened bag must be provided on the first delivery attempt within 2 hours of arrival.
