Well I just purchased some very nice Pink Rams Horn Snails.
I now have Pink , Blue and Red Rams Horn Snails .
Update on the Daffodil Brichardi , I am on my 3rd spawn and they are growing quite nicly .
I hope to have some up on Aqua Bid very soon.
I also have a spawn of Gold Rams that look to be doing very well.
As they get larger I will post up some pics .

Well I got a new batch of gold Rams from the Local Fish Store last Friday.
And by Sunday I had a batch of eggs. But as usual the parents ate them.
So next batch will get pulled to confirm the pair.
Today I received my order of Gold Rams from Saijinsong off Aquabid.com .
I ordered 6 young gold rams and received 7 . however 2 of the 7 where DOA.
Here is a pic of the remaining 5 . They are not bad looking fish , it is just a shame that the 2 largest where the ones to die.
Also the Daffodil Brichardi fry are growing fast. Last weeks fry count was 30 .

Well I got me a small batch of Blue Ramshorn snails in last night.
They look pretty good. I hope to start breeding them soon.

It seams rather hard to locate Blue Ramshorn's for sale . I am very happy I found some and was able to get them shipped.
I have feelers out for some White and clear along with possibly some salmon colored ?
I also uploaded some pics of my Daffodil Brichardi .
These are a unique fish that I have never seen , but hear they have been around for quite some time.
From what I gather it will be a wile before I can expect my pair to start breeding.

Well the Terracotta cones are selling well.
I have had 2 Large orders this weekend and am currently out of stock.
I am making them as fast as I can but it will be about a 5 day turn to get them made, cleaned , fired and shipped.

Well we finely got our Terracotta . And now have Terracotta and White breeding cones available.
Shipping has been worked out for one cone and is $ 7.50 .
I also now have for sale a number of young German Blue rams. I have sold quite a few and have had reports
back that they are indeed spawning . So get them fast before there all gone.

Well today at 10 pm the new pair of discus are confirmed. I see wigglers.
The parents seam to be doing a great job. The new egg fungus treatment seams to be working well.
There is only one visible egg with fungus . in spite of a large number of white eggs that where not fertile.

Also have the first batch from the new Red Guppies. About 20 young in all. Eating well and doing fine.

Also had a successful spawn from a pair of Black/Marble Angelfish. The same pair that where for sale.
It has been 15 days and I still have about 300+ fry.
Have decided that I will keep this pair and hope to start selling young again soon.
Still am unable to get the Altum or Koi to rear there own young.
The new water treatment may be the key to success . Only time will tell.

Well there are a few new additions to the fish room.
A pair of Long Fin German Blue Rams. Purchased this pair at an auction 2 weeks ago . I already have one spawn and can confirm them as a pair.
And a pair of Pidgin Blood Discus . Also purchased at an auction about 2 months ago.
I have had 3 attempts at spawning but as of yet no wigglers.

I attended as a buyer and found it to be quite enjoyable
. Very nice crowd with tons of fish being sold.

I have 12 German Blue Rams that will be for sale with-in
the next 30 days . They are 2 months old and starting to color up.
They are only about 20-23mm ( .75-1 inch ) now . I
will post them when they’re ready.

I have 5 breeder pairs of Black and Double/Black angel fish that will be sold as soon
as I can get them to stop eating there
fry.
I do not intend to breed black Angelfish so these will defiantly
be sold off.
I am hoping to get a better price if I can sell them
while there tending young . Thus guarantying the breeding pair.
I am applying myself to the rearing of German Blue Rams
, as I feel there is a definite need for these fish .
Not much of a selection in the local pet stores and the
prices are steadily climbing . So I hope to be able to supply a number of German Blues and the Gold Rams . I also intend to expand
out into the Electric Blue Rams as time goes on.

Well things are picking up around here.
I have a new spawn of black and Koi fry , about 400 or so . doing good and growing .
I also have 2 spawns of the German Blue's , one spawn of about 100 and another of 200+ .
I also have a second successful spawn of the Peruvian Altum .
I have decided to separate the fry from the parents . There looks to be a good number of young .
I have been playing around with a web cam and think I may have it figured out. Check out the Angelfish page ,
it should be directed at the fry tank . I will be moving it to other tanks as I figure out a good support system for it .

Ok . on 12/04/2009 I took a road trip to Chicago.
It was long trip considering we spent over 1 hour in Chicago traffic.
But it was worth it . I purchased 3 Large 4 inch + Red Checkerboard Discus .
I hope that my luck has changed at picking out these fish . As the last 3 purchases have all turned out to be
female Discus . I hope that this time I might actually end up with a pair.
I will post more Pictures of the fish I got as I get more time. I have however posted one nice shot.
All three are twins of each other with no differences other then the body pattern.
On 12/12/2009 I had another spawn from the discus.
This time they did not eat the eggs. I recorded over 1 hour of video , in hopes to confirm the pair .
I did confirm that they are both female. I could actually see both fish lay eggs.
So I have swapped out the large whit face for the largest possible male from the batch I just bought in Chicago.
All seems to be going fine and the new switch looks good. Both fish have accepted each other and no hostilities
have been seen . In fact there is quite a lot of pre-spawn dancing going on and I feel confident that I will have a spawn
in the not so distant future.
I will post pics and vids as they become relevant , so keep checking back .

Well as thing progress and breeding picks up , I feel it is time to once again start moving some fish.
I have around 50+ adult/sub-adult German Blue Rams for sale.
I also will start selling my Gold / Blue and White snails .
I have set up a plant tank that is producing nice new plants and will start posting them very soon .
The Gold Rams are breeding and I hope to have some for sale in the next month or so .
I am also getting out of the Betta breeding. There is not a big market and prices of $1.00 are as low as I can go .
With a 3-6 month grow for young it is not economically feasible to continue to raise them .
So I will be selling off the young I have and then removing the Betta wall , in order to replace it with more larger tank spaces.
So if you are looking for some Bettas I have 6-8 that I am willing to give away to good homes .
Then as the last batch of young get larger I will be offering them also for adoption .

Well things are picking up . Fish are back to spawning on a regular bases and I have had ZERO deaths in over a month.
I will begin to start posting priced in the near future.
I currently have the following ...
53 adult German Blue Rams that will go up for sale.
50+ very small Yellow labs.
I have around 30 new baby Bettas growing out .
50+ Koi and Black angels .
A new batch of German Blue Rams ( wigglers)
A new batch of Black Angelfish (wigglers)
1 (confirmed) pair of black Angelfish , 2nd spawn now wigglers , going up for sale.
Another 3 to 4 pair black Angels as soon as pairs are confirmed.
I now have a number of Blue snails I will be selling off , along with a number of the White snails.
And I still have the gold snails in stock.
I also purchased some new Red Top KOI Angelfish (6) and should start seeing spawns in the next few Months .
So please keep checking as I feel you will be impressed with the new crop of fish showing up.

Due to an unexpected fish loss I am currently not selling any live aquatic fish or snails.
The reason for the loss is unknown . And until I am able to ascertain the reason behind the die off ,
I am unable to sell these fish.
Be sure that when I am confident that there is no longer a problem , I will at that time begin posting
prices and quantity's again .
I still have around 200+ Angelfish 1/4 to 2 inch , 100+ German Blue Rams 3/4 to 1.25 inch ,
200+ Gold Inca Snails 1 inch and up , 300 Gold Inca Snails 1/2 inch and up , 650+ Ivory White Snails 1/4 inch and
50-100 Blue Snails 3mm+ . And the Betta breeding is still going on . Bettas where not effected but are still not for sale .
Angelfish and Rams continue to lay eggs . However I am not raising any fry until unknown illness has passed .
So there WILL be fish available in the near future , keep checking and I will post when things are ready.

Very good swap meet in Iowa City. I had a GREAT time and enjoyed meeting a lot of the club members who
I have only chatted with via the forum , in the past.
Over all I say it was a hit. I know for one I sold a ton of Angelfish , and a fair number of snails.
It was a rather small venue but for it size I feel we had a good turn out of buyers. I don't know the exact numbers
but from my side of the table it looked high.
I plan on attending the next swap , so keep your eyes out as I will be sure to post dates , time and place as soon as I know.

I am not selling any German Blue Rams at this time.
I have lost 5 rams in the past 3 days. Until I can be certain there is nothing wrong I will not sell ANY Blue Rams.

Well I finely got my Electric Blue Rams yesterday . And I must say they are stunning . There is one Big Male who is really showing off his Colors.
I got a total of 6 . So I should be set for a spawn in a month or so .
I also Purchased another 2 Gold Rams from " PetLand in Iowa City on Monday.
But as usual the particular fish I wanted in the store they would not sell me , instead they showed me
the supply they had in another tank .
After explaining that the pair I wanted was not in that tank and receiving the old " Sorry there not for sale "
I reluctantly bought 2 that looked the best from the other tank .
Well as usual the ones that where for sale , where sub-par and I should have stay away .
The first one died 18 hours after getting it and the second lasted only 50 hours .
So again I am looking for a breeder who actually BREEDS them !
No more LFS for Gold's as they do not carry any of the quality I am looking for .
I need strong stock if I am to spawn them and sell them to MY customers...

A walk-in customer bought 5 angels Saturday night. Called back Sunday to report he had 2 pairs that have taken over both ends of his 55 Gallon tank !
2 Pairs out of 5 fish ? Great .
And as I told him they are 4 month old and about to start breeding...

The GCCA show was a great success . There where hundreds of visitors and thing sold extremely well.
We sold ALL of the Gold Inca snails in the first 2 hours and ALL 160 German Blue Rams went with in the first 3 hours. We will be listing the last 50 of the 200 Angelfish that did not sell . They where a great hit .We also managed to pick up some very nice High Orange Angelfish young , that I hope to have spawning in the next few months. The discus where spotty at best . The selection was good but it seams that most other breeders are working on the light Pastel colors and giving up on the Brighter reds and Blues. So I have yet to locate a mate for the Red Dragon Discus breeders I have . Keep an eye out as QC Discus will be starting the product page in the near future. We have some very nice items at reasonable prices . Next show in 4 weeks hope to see you there .
QC Discus will have a Table at the GCCA Swap meet on April 5th 2009. All the remaining Betas will be there along with New Heaters , Almond Leaves , etc. A selection of young Blue Rams , Young Angelfish , Gold Inca Snails will also be available for sale.
